| The rain was falling from the sky whole day, but it stopped about 15 minutes before start. After the formation lap during which no passing is permitted the drivers returned to their grid positions. There are no surprises on the start line. First Michael Schumacher, second David Coulthard and on third place Mika Hakkinen. All three of them will start on wet tires. Five red lights go out and the United States Grand Prix is on. | ||
